< < Back

Embark on a 2-day trek around the Plain of Jars that leads to a waterfall on the way to a mountain ridge to an overnight stay at Pa Kep village near the site of some 300 stone jars.

Itinerary:

Day 1:

Begin the 6-hour trek at Tachok, a Hmong village located on Route 7, about 45 minutes east of Phonsavan Town. On the walk to Pa Keo, trekkers pass the cool That Kha Waterfall and climb a mountain to Pa Keo village.

Day 2:

After an onvernight stay, rise early and head off with a village guide on a 30-minute trek to the Pa Keo Jar Site, which has about 300 stone jars carved from fine sandstone scattered on a forested mountaintop.

For more information: Visit the Tourism Information Office in Phonsavan town, Xieng Khouang Province.
