Nam Kading

Key Species: Elephant, gaur, giant muntjac, gibbons, sooty babbler and rufous-throated fulvetta, river lapwing, wreathed and great hornbills and large otters.
Phou Phanang

Nam Xam
Location: Houapahn. 1,734 sq km

Key Species: Tiger, muntjac and guar. Numerous gibbon species, small elephant population, marbled cat, high densities of grey peacock pheasant, Blyth’s kingfisher, and beautiful nuthatch. Two bird species not recorded in any other NPA are brown-throated tree-creeper and yellow-bellied weasel.
Nam Phui
Location: Sayabouli 1,912 sq km

Key Species: Substantial elephant population estimated at 350 wild animals, Lar gibbon, gaur, tiger, dhole, serow, silvered langur and Asiatic black bear. There is evidence that Sumatran rhinos may still exist here.
Nam Et
Location: Houaphan Province. 1,915.sq km

Key Species: Clouded leopard, tiger, and leopard. All large cats endemic to Indochina are reported to exist in this NPA.
Nam Ha
Location: Luang Namtha Province. 2,224 sq km

mountain bike tours, village home stays.
Key Species: Mammals of significance are clouded leopard, leopard, and tiger. There are small populations of gaur, Asian elephant, and a possibly unique muntjac species.
Phou Loei
Location: Luang Prabang & Houapahn.
